During the whole of the year 2018, the Equal Opportunities Commission had the opportunity to visit various educational institutions in Mauritius and Rodrigues in view to fulfill its mandate to sensitise the public about the various aspects of the provisions of the Equal Opportunities Act. The sensitisation campaign kicked off at the Royal College Port Louis which was attended by the press; there were around 300 students and staffs present. The sensitisation was concluded at the Mauritius Institute of Education, Reduit. The target audience was mainly form 5 up to HSC students and staffs of educational institutions.

Mauritius: 24 institutions, comprising 15 colleges, the Central School of Nursing, The Mauritius Institute of Education, Mauritius Institute of Training and Development (MITD) (Port Louis, Piton, Beau Bassin, Ebene, Flacq and Mahebourg), Glen Park Community Centre.
Rodrigues: 7 institutions comprising of 4 colleges, Nursing officers, Police Officers, MITD Rodrigues staffs.
